Witvoet Trail Run

Location: Keiskie farm, Calvinia, South Africa

The run started at the farm house and headed towards the narrow pass we visited during our previous run. Mariette joined Christiaan and I for the first 2km. We then turned left to Witvoet, following the sheep trail which overlapped with the jeep track towards the mountains. When you reach Witvoet, you are rewarded with sweet, sweet natural spring water... which feeds into the Shell tank shown in the last picture.

Interesting: the name Witvoet (White foot) comes from the two small hills surrounding the spring. The origin of the "white" part is not known.
