Keiskieberg Trail Run

This is the toughest trail run I envisaged for the Desember holidays: ascending from 1000 to 1600+ to reach the top of Keiskieberg. Christian joined me for this run which started with an easy 3km jeep track. Unfortunately the quickest way up Keiskieberg is head-on, which meant a climb of 600m in about 1.5km with no trail and a lot of Renoster- and Kalkoenbos blocking the way. The suffering was rewarded by awesome views of the Hantam district. We rested at the top and then took the long way down via the jeep track to complete this 14km run.

Interesting: the Keiskieberg is the highest mountain in the Hantam district at 1705m (5585 feet) AMSL.
