Once upon a time, before trail running, before Parkour, we hiked up various mountains in South Africa and ran down like crazy people… we called it Extreme Jogging. This blog is a tribute to the good old days, friends & family, my Creator and everybody that love running in nature!
Extremeness: Technical single track and tough climb
Location: Jonkershoek, Stellenbosch, South Africa
Joggers: Deryck Nel & me
This was the last run of Movember and we decided to do a short extreme jog. My toe and the big fillet steak I had Thursday night was still bugging me, but the run was a lot of fun. We started up two sections of the Canary and then headed towards the Northern side of the Eastern Jonkers loop. Then road headed down and we took the first single track we could find heading upwards again. This linked to what I call the "peaceful" single track, taking us back to the gate.
