Coetzenburg Circle Trail Run

Location: Jonkershoek, Stellenbosch, South Africa

Joggers: Deryck Nel, Wim Morris & me

This morning was Wim's birthday jog. That is, Wim chose the route & time and we did not have a choice in following his lead. I am still waiting for the doctor's certificates from Andries, Cobus and Dirk who did not pitch! We took the gravel road from the Coetzenburg circle towards the suspension bridge over the Eersterivier (First River) and then turned up towards Stellenbosch Mountain. After a short climb we turned to jog along the typical Coetzenburg routes towards Brandwacht and then took one of Wim's favourite single tracks firstly up, and then down towards Coetzenburg proefplaas. We finished with a 200m sprint on the Coetzenberg B & C rugby fields.
