This afternoon we jogged from Deryck's house, which means a horrible 700m of climbing before hitting the flatter jeep tracks. We jogged from above Brandwacht towards Paradyskloof and after 1km reached my favourite single track in this area. The single track took as all the way down to the bottom of the Paradyskloof pine plantation from where we had to climb for about 1.5km to reach the contour path heading back towards Stellenbosch. Here a mysterious trail running babe came out of nowhere, jogged in front of us for about 1km and then vanished heading upwards when our single track split. I surely hope that Deryck also saw this girl... After the contour jog with our anonymous guide we turned around (before heading down towards the Coetzenburg slopes) and turned up the pace for the home straight.
