Schapenberg Red Trail Run
Our trail grading: ORANGE 6B
Distance: 23.38km
Extremeness: Technical single tracks and gradual climbs
Location: Schapenberg, Somerset West, South Africa
Joggers: Deryck Nel & me
This morning we did the first rainy run of the season! I decided to collect some gpx data for Trail magazine and take some photos. Unfortunately, without any light, photographs end up fairly dull - even in a beautiful area like Schapenberg. We started at Ongegund Logde and followed the red arrows religiously. We did take a short detour here and there, but all in all the run was a lot of fun. Because of the gradual climbs, it was definitely tougher than I thought it would be. Doing nothing the week before also did not really help. All I can say is that I made it back in one (wet) piece.
