This morning we did the standard Newlands Forest 10km with a detour to the Block House. I felt good this morning and conquered Plumb Pudding Hill - i.e. running all of the hill without walking! This is my last week of training before chilling next week, ahead of the Jonkershoek Mountain Challenge, so I extended the run with a visit to the Block House. The wind was pumping and Al waited for me at the gate to the contour single track heading back to Newlands Forest. We had a easy run on the contour single track and wooden walkways before picking up the pace on the way down.
