This Saturday we drove all the way to Silvermine for a second attempt at the 10km loop. This time we were not trapped in a cloud and it was easier to navigate the single tracks. We started with a route called The Crags which linked to the Elephant's Eye hiking trial. The trail took us all the way to a fire hut and lookout. We took a detour to visit the cave itself and then headed back to the loop. At about 5km into the route we took another detour - this time to run to a view point above Hout Bay. We finished the route with a single track which was not ideal for running, but fun nonetheless.
