Once upon a time, before trail running, before Parkour, we hiked up various mountains in South Africa and ran down like crazy people… we called it Extreme Jogging. This blog is a tribute to the good old days, friends & family, my Creator and everybody that love running in nature!
This Saturday we were keen to find new routes in Jonkershoek and started up two parts of the Canary MTB trail. We then took the jeep track all the way to the start of the "never-ending" MTB route. From here, we jogged upwards on a trail we noticed during a previous extreme jog. The route turned out to be a tough climb which ends in an awesome contour single track - linking to our "Eastern Loop" single track. We finished the single track and turned onto the jeep track again. Then we tried the steepest down hill single track in Jonkershoek where Deryck almost had a spectacular fall in front of 5 cyclist. Finally we were back on the Canary again and finished the extreme jog with tired legs!
