Black River Gorges 21km Loop

Today we did an epic 21km loop in the Black River Gorges Nature reserve on the West Coast of Mauritius. I've already explored four routes in this area before so I took the last (and normal) route out of the gorge on the left. This took us to the top of the mountain to the Petrin Visitor Center. We then had to link with about 4km of terrible tar, through Les Mares, to the start of the Parakeet Trail. This took us straight down into the Gorge on some ankle breaking single track. About 3km before the end we found an awesome river pool to cool down, before finishing this very tough Half Marathon! Tim's first... what a machine!
