Once upon a time, before trail running, before Parkour, we hiked up various mountains in South Africa and ran down like crazy people… we called it Extreme Jogging. This blog is a tribute to the good old days, friends & family, my Creator and everybody that love running in nature!
On Friday morning I found out that I was not as tough as I thought. After some relatively strenuous exercise the previous two days, I got up early to do a 12km Jonkers loop with Deryck. We started well, but after 2.5km I lost most of my sight - my blood sugar dropped, etc. I had to stop and wait for 5min and then decided to just take it very easy. We completed an enjoyable run and I suppose if it does not kill you it only makes you stronger. :)
