Jonkershoek 30 Trail Run
Our trail grading: BROWN 7C
Distance: 30.42km
Extremeness: Technical single track and tough climb
Location: Stellenbosch Mountain, Stellenbosch, South Africa
Joggers: Deryck Nel, Gary Byrne and me
This was one of the toughest and most beautiful extreme jogs I have ever done. We started up Swartboskloof and linked to the Panorama trail. The scenery was truly spectacular and we even found some snow. We broke away from the Panorama trail to follow the contour path which normally forms part of the JMC trail run. Finally, we ended with two sections of the Canary trail.
